i am interested in heaven and earth, ENI, Buring Flames, and Grand Entrepreneur. I can’t wait for each of them to air
i have a feeling though GE might not air until a while.
November 19th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
I won’t be writing a separate “thoughts” post because I don’t have much to say so I’ll just list a few random opinions that I have here. As a whole, I’m not too deeply impressed.
“Superwoman” – Looks like it could be funny. Ada does a great job and shows her versatility in comedy. However, it looks a bit silly for me.
E.N.I. – Definitely watching it. I enjoyed Parts I & II and I want to see what’s in store for our 2 cadets. The clip seems promising.
“Iron Horse Seeking Bridge” – Most pointless and unappealing clip this year.
D.I.E. II – I did not watch the original and with the job of the producer being transfered to the awful Producer Kwan, I am definitely staying far away from this sequel.
“Rouge Merchant” – Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai are both brilliant actors. I definitely will watch this series. It looks promising.
“Grand Entrepreneur” – Great cast. Happy to see Jamie Chik make a comeback. I’m quite frankly sick of series like these. I probably won’t watch it.
“Palace Scheme” – The most promising of all sales presentation clips. However, I’m a bit sick of the hype surrounding this series already when it’s not even filmed yet.
“General Chai and Lady Balsam” – Has potential.
Burning Flames III – I’m going to be watching Parts I & II within the next couple months. If I like it, I’ll check out Part III. It seems promising. TVB shouldn’t have filmed the Sales Presentation Clip last year for this series since it was a waste of time and space. They should have just waited until they filmed the actual series and then produce a Sales Presentation Clip then.
“Heaven and Earth” – Impressive cast, especially with the surprise appearance by Sheren Tang. The idea of cannibalism is sickening though. It has potential, but I probably won’t watch it.
November 19th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
CRAZY! Hahaha. Palace Scheme seems really exciting! I like watching Tavia all the time whenever she’s on-screen.
Can’t wait to view it!!
As for D.I.E, I’ve seen the first part, so I guess I have to continue with D.I.E II. Though it makes me wonder how Roger came back to life. o_O
Burning Flames III, I will definitely watch.
Iron Horse Seeking Bridge, I wanna watch that, haha. Raymond is in there, and his acting does not disappoint me. :]
Thanks Metal!! I got so surprised when I saw this, haha. I can’t wait until all these are ready to air.
November 20th, 2008 at 12:00 am
hmm.. didnt see any with Linda Chung. Heard she wont be filming in 2009.. is this true?
November 20th, 2008 at 12:13 am
Metal! You just crushed my expectations for D.I.E II. I can’t believe they’re giving Producer Kwan this. Why??? :’(
November 20th, 2008 at 1:06 am
2009 is going to be a sick year for these series! so excited!
November 20th, 2008 at 1:15 am
I’m also surprised that they changed the producer of DIE. Why?
“Palace Schemes” is The Most Promising up there. Seems very exciting. Big cast and promosing storyline. The costumes are beautiful.
“Rouge Merchant” might be the second promising one with heavyweight leads Sheren and Wayne.
“E.N.I” looks promising too. Hoho Michael Miu is back! Interesting!
Agree. “Heaven and Earth” and “Grand Entreprenuer” cast are impressive. Very big feeling.
“Burning Flame III” clip isn’t that exciting but I’ll definitely watch no matter how the storyline goes.
Indifferent about the others
November 20th, 2008 at 4:11 am
the only series that interest me so far is heaven and earth. not just because of the impressive cast (which includes my favorite, kate tsui) but the philosophical theme being discussed. i am very fascinated by ethical issues and i am so happy that tvb is finally touching on a moral issue worth discussing. this is a series worth looking out for. really do hope they will go ahead and film it. and yes, please bring nick cheung back!
November 20th, 2008 at 5:03 am
TallRectangle, Roger did not die in the version aired in HK.
November 20th, 2008 at 5:14 am
I find Iron Horse Seeking Bridge is appealing to me. Not only I’m Yuen Chao’s fan from Kungfu Hustle, it’s look funny. The background music is funny, too. I’m a big fan of Kungfu Hustle and this one reminds me of a nice comedy.
Heaven and Earth looks appealing to me, too. I can’t wait for Nick’s appearance. Plus, Kate and Sheren are in the cast.
Superwoman looks funny but Ada’s make up hit me at head. I hope they will change.
The only one I find not interesting is Place Scheme. I’m a bit sick of the cast: Moses, Tavia, Susanna, Michelle again after MR and Charvin again and again. Moreover, I find Charmaine’s character seems to be too good to be true. Tavia doesn’t have enough evil eyes. It’s just my opinion. Please don’t bash me for that.
Linda has no clip in the sale presentation but she still has a bunch of series on hand. We won’t miss her on 2009.
November 20th, 2008 at 6:28 am
I agree with Vivien.
Palace Scheme is the only one I find not interesting. Same reasons. You can pretty much predict the plot. Also I think that Tavia’s eyes expression and voice do not show enough evilness. And I can’t really stand Charmaine and Tavia being palace maids… they look too old for that!
I am very disappointed to now see any Linda series in the sales presentation. She only has one series (Dogs on the Beat) in stock now, and will probably start filming that Liaozhai series in May. So we won’t get to see too much of Linda next year… Oh I am gonna miss her lots!
November 20th, 2008 at 6:30 am
*Typo~ should be “I am very disappointed to NOT see any Linda series in the sales presentation.” Sorry!
November 20th, 2008 at 10:19 am
Everything looks interesting apart from superwoman, looks silly and cheese, roll on 09.
November 20th, 2008 at 10:25 am
After a rewatch, Die 2 looks a bit to silly to, pushing that down the list.
November 20th, 2008 at 11:38 am
Thanks metal so much for providing the clips! I’d watch Heaven and Earth, Nick Cheung! Yes! I like him! Hahah, and Grand Entepreneur, Palace Scheme, E.N.I and prolly that Fung series bcus well.. out of support for my idol, besides I like Yuen Wah all along anyway.
November 20th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
Kidd- Oh! Haha, bad me. I’ll put that in mind once D.I.E II opens up. :]
November 20th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
Ooh, I’m quite interested in a few of these.
Superwoman – Ada really cracked me up in this! I’m going to watch it as I’m a big Ada fan. I like all the guys here too.
E.N.I – It depends… I like the cast, but the constant misunderstandings between Ron and Sammul tire me out. I’m going to keep it under my radar.
Iron Horse Seeking Bridge – I like the cast too, but it’s weird that they didn’t mention anything about the story here. I’ll see what happens when more info comes out.
D.I.E. II – I liked the first one, but the “sequel curse” scares me. I just have a feeling that I won’t like it as much as the first one. I’m also indifferent towards Producer Kwan. Sad because I actually like the whole cast.
Rouge Merchant – How can I miss Wayne’s first leading role? Sheren is also a plus.
Grand Entrepreneur – Usually there is always someone in a grand cast that I don’t like, but this time I actually like everyone. The story seems okay, will wait for more info first.
Palace Scheme – Definitely watching this as I love the cast and the story. The clip is my favorite out of the bunch.
General Chai and Lady Balsam – Boring cast, boring story, boring time era, I’m skipping this.
Burning Flame III – I loved the first two so I’m watching this! I’m a huge Bosco fan, I wanna watch this to see if his acting will finally make a rebound. I like Wong Hei and Kevin too.
Heaven and Earth – Again, the cast is really good, and the cannibalism theme actually intrigues me. Probably going to watch this.
November 20th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
ahhh!! you’re getting me so excited for the future series to come out!!! they’re all seem so so exciting and i can’t wait to watch them! i have so much to say!
but it seems like there’s a lot more drama and action and not as much training stuff, i like that!
and the baby is so so cute!!!
lol this is my top series to watch right now and of course burning flame too! it’s finally gonna come out next year!!! i can’t wait! there’s so many awesome awesome dramas!!! i have a feeling i’m gonna be procrastinating a lot just so i can watch dramas! lol
superwoman is just so hilarious, i love ada! she’s awesome and the superwoman thing with her flying all over the place and being all seductive i can’t wait to watch it!
ENI ehhh… i loved the first one…not the second one though, and now the third one, i’m iffy about it. with michael suddenly coming back to life…it’s so weird. and ron’s hair is bothering me, lol but i saw a glimpse of joey! …i think lol
iron horse seeking bridge seems okay-ish, not entirely interested in it, but it looks sorta funny
DIEII!!! DIE was one of my favorites this year! it’s just so hilarious to see roger acting all funky hahah
i’m not really that interested in rouge merchant, general chai, or heaven and earth…not my type.
but definetly gonna watch palace scheme when it comes up, with all those awesome actresses tavia!! and charmaine, michelle, and susanna!! yay! can’t wait to see them act. and tavia seems to have a pretty big role here so yay for her too!! so cool seeing her lead as the queen. and charmaine is such a loyal sister!! and of course, there’s kevin cheng!!
November 20th, 2008 at 11:01 pm
I’m excited about some of the series but I was kinda hoping that they would have shown more of the series that have been filmed already.
I’m excited for ENI because the story looks really good especially since they have Michael Miu (and I’m a big fan of Michael Tse). Burning Flames 3 looks really good (but why didn’t they show Myolie?!) and I’m having more faith in it now than when they first started filming since I wasn’t that excited at first. Rouge Merchant also looks really good, mainly because Wayne and Sheren are 2 of the best tvb actors.
I’m not sure how I feel about Palace Scheme because it does look interesting, but I also feel like it’s trying to be like War and Beauty. Also, the whole storyline already seems laid out that I can’t really imagine what they can do to make it a storyline. Grand Entreprenuer sounds intriguing since it has Gallen Lo but I’m not that excited about the cast. It seems a little old and I wish that added more younger people to it. Heaven and Earth seems very creepy and the cast seems pretty good- I hope Charmaine does film this because she looks pretty good with Nick.
Also what’s so bad about Producer Kwan? what shows did he do?
November 21st, 2008 at 12:02 am
ah ada only have 1 series next year and it doesn’t look promising..:( i looking forward to palace scheme, i haven’t watch jewel in palace so have no idea….tvb should make more comedy really too much scheming..
November 21st, 2008 at 12:41 am
Palace Schemes reminds me of Jewel in the Palace, with Charmaine as Dae Jang Geum and Tavia as Jang Geum’s best friend… the clip looks pretty interesting, hope they can release it next year…
November 21st, 2008 at 3:34 am
Too bad I Fala missed the chance to take part in the promising “Palace Schemes” because she has to film for another series. I like Fala a lot and she looks pretty in ancient costumes. Taking part in a huge production like “Palace” would give her great exposure but maybe just not her luck.
November 21st, 2008 at 8:23 am
in some sources it says that selena li is gonna take part in palace scheme. she’s gonna take on an evil role. hmmm! thats interesting. selena never tried an evil role so i hope she does
joey, palace scheme is said to model after Dae Jang Geum!
November 21st, 2008 at 5:11 pm
Hmmm, thanks for updating the 2009 Presentation.
Superwoman-
I can’t wait until i see Ada put on a funny character.
DIE2- Hope its good.
Palace Schemes- Wow seeing Tavia as a maid reminded me exactly the part where she was a cameo as a maid back in Yeung Gwai Fei. Hahaha. I don’t think she can be too evil. Her eyes shoe serenity and sincere. I just don’t know how she can force those evilness out. Meanwhile the four leung leung’s Ng, Kwan, Yim and the other lady all their face had the evilness in them. Since Tavia’s the antagonist, it made all the four leung leung all dumb, stunned and idle, doing nothing but just standing there. Charmaine reminds me of her in War and Beauty where in the beginning she goes trying to solve every problem and protect everything although this time she is more opened out. WAB she was more close and held everything in.
Uh oh looks whose back with his normal business attire look, Gallen takes on another character similar to his past roles I hope Nancy Sit can outshine in this movie. Really hoping she can achieve some awards because she can definitely act.
Rough Merchants should be great since Wayne and Sharon are in it. Let’s see if Wayne got the potential to keep his warm spot as the main protagonist, maybe even better than Michael Tse main character movies.
ENI/Burning Flame 3- I really don’t get how you can have a character in the movie dead, and then using the same actor in the sequel as another character, I really don’t like how they do it, are they running out of actors. Wong Hei and Michael Mui both died in their past movie. Now seeing them acting as another character in a same movie. It’s not my type lor. Idk we’ll see maybe I might be wrong.
IHSB- ummm I think these movies are getting boring, the last movie that I watched that had the same theme was probably Real Kung Fu but I did look at some of Tai Chi’s clip.
November 21st, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Superwoman -> reminds me of the movie..Super Girl.? the one with Uma Thurman in it as some sort of super woman..and dates this guy and then when the guy breaks up with her…she gets revenge and throws like a shark at him..lol..anyways yea..i have a feeling its not really like this..they are just exaggerating the idea..i think its more like ada being a non sexy woman who fights to survive without losing to going on diets and stuff…
E.N.I-> the second one was okay…Kathy’s line ” if you’re not a brother..get the hell out!” is intriguing..since i havent seen kathy like that before…
???? – “Iron Horse Seeking Bridge” -> as much as i like yuen wah and yuen chau..i have a feelign this is gonna be a stupid series…
D.I.E. II -> i honestly felt this series was a little overrrated…so not looking forward to the sequel…
???? – “Rouge Merchant”-> Sheren & Wayne!! I still dont have a clue what this is about though..kind of confusing..but Sheren and the other 3 wives..looks like gonna be interesting..:D
???? – “Grand Entrepreneur”-> the cast is appealing..and i hope since its is more serious series..nancy can show her more serious and powerful acting… i havent seen jamie in a LOONG time…so this would be interesting..and i like Gallen!! woo~ but i hope its no more than 40 episodes…cause i dont think i can keep watching more than that..
??? – “Palace Scheme”-> like everyone else..i’m sick of the combo…the onyl thing they are really missing is Louise Lee to slab in there with some golden words..lawl but they replaced her with Charmaine Sheh..the idea sounds nice..but i didnt really enjoy watching Dae Cheung Kam…too long…and well i just got lost afterwhile…
?????? – “General Chai and Lady Balsam”-> nope..i dont like war period or revolution dramas really..even though it has kathy & krystal…..
Burning Flames III
(Wong Hei, Kevin Cheng, Bosco Wong, Myolie Wu, etc.) -> nope…i remember watching bruning 1 and 2…but never intrigued to follow…
??? – “Heaven and Earth” -> nope…because i dont get how they are gonna make a story out of this …but there’s kate tsui..maggie siu..who i’d love to watch..but i have a feeling its one of those LOONG series…and it doesnt actually get to this storyline ..u know like Love Exchange’s story wasnt until the last few episodes…?
November 21st, 2008 at 10:30 pm
i have my personal thoughts here too…it looks like all the upcoming drama in year 2009 looks exciting..at least better than 2008, all those boring ones except moonlight resonance, forensic heroes 2, wars of in laws 2.
maybe the sales presentation video is better…
i feel like want to watch all these dramas especially the Palace Scheme…a lot of actresses there…looks like the plot is not bad too..costumes and background is great…
overall…it is great!
November 22nd, 2008 at 12:24 am
My thoughts, most of the 2009 series sux, TVB is really going down the drain.
“Superwoman” – Stupid and cheesy. Ada Choi has really bad and exaggerated acting, she exaggerated so much in GOL, her acting will only get worse and more exaggerated in this cheesy series. Producer Chik’s latest dramas are failing to live up to expectations – DOP, GOL all flopping.
E.N.I. – One of the better series of 2009 as I enjoyed the first 2 parts, will watch this since I like the chemistry between the cast members Ron, Sammuel & Michael, but the female cast is very lacking.
“Iron Horse Seeking Bridge” – Most pointless and unappealing clip this year. Reminds me of Tai Chi which is one of the most pointless series of 2008.
D.I.E. II – I did not watch the original, I am definitely staying far away from this sequel.
“Rouge Merchant” – Not interested. I dislike both Sheren and Wayne.
“Grand Entrepreneur” – Cast full of old people. Plus I’m so sick of family conflict dramas, GOL already boring me to death.
“Palace Scheme” – The most promising of all sales presentation clips. However, I’m sick of popular actors playing second fiddle to Charmaine Sheh. First she takes over the FH2 cast, now the popular HOG cast have to play supporting cast for her. I’m glad to see Tavia has a more interesting character than Charmaine, and Tavia seems to be the leading actress from the clip. I hope Tavia kicks Charmaine’s ass, I have a feeling she will, as Tavia’s acting skill and her character are better than Charmaine.
“General Chai and Lady Balsam” – Boring.
Burning Flames III – Haven’t watched the first 2 parts. Not planning to watch this one either.
“Heaven and Earth” – Cast full of old people. Plus I’m so sick of family conflict dramas, GOL already boring me to death. Producer Chik’s latest dramas are failing to live up to expectations – DOP, GOL all flopping.
November 22nd, 2008 at 5:35 am
please don’t discriminate old actors… *puppy dog pout*… Some of them are better in acting than those young ones.. Maybe you can give some of them a shot. hehhe…
November 22nd, 2008 at 6:24 am
“Heaven and Earth” is not about family drama. It’s about a group of people who has done a horrible thing in the past and now the past is catching up with them.
TVB is not going down the drain. You (TVB 2009 sux) are just bias against old people. Don’t forget, you will get old one day too.
November 22nd, 2008 at 3:56 pm
I’m interested in
Palace Scheme and Grand Entrepreneur. Oh and Im happy to see Kenix back. :]
& ‘TVB2009Sux’, you should just stop watching tv all together. Go watch Disney if you dislike old people so much. Issues…
November 23rd, 2008 at 1:19 am
^ ahahha..nice burn! lol
but honestly yeah…you can always just not watch that series…and not even watch TVB all together…and FYI…people age..you complain that the old people steal the spotlight today…20 years later…those so called “young ones” will be OLD too…
and theres many old people mainly because they add flavour to series…so i dont see what the problem is…i mean..every series ive seen happens to have an old person somewhere…..
November 23rd, 2008 at 2:09 pm
some of the clips cannot be view…can you please have a look???
November 24th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
wow, some series look o.k, but some look kinda good.
Palace Scheme seem very appealing, and heaven and earth. Those are the only two I’m waiting on. The clip of heaven and earth reminds me of the book, Lord of the Flies, for some reason. Maybe becuz it’s kinda share the same something..And the one raymond gonna be in?!? It looks crapy for once and what is it even about. I mean what could it possibly be about. You can’t do nothing with one old man, an old lady, and a hot guy!!?! What was tvb thinking. They dont even have a love interest for Ray. Tvb BS-ing on that one, but the other looks o.k. But one more thing. Why they keep on changing the female leads in E.N.I?
November 24th, 2008 at 7:06 pm
to tRuC:
i totally agree with you on the female leads in ENI. it’s something that’s been annoying me since forever. ron simply can’t make up his mind. the first one he’s with tavia, then breaks up with her in the second and sorta not really ends up with joey..and now there’s ANOTHER female lead??? and for the other main male leads too. they all seem to constantly change their love interests!
November 25th, 2008 at 1:36 am
I agree with you guys on the female leads in ENI. The female leads seem to get older and older, from Tavia/Fiona to Sonija/Joey to Kathy Chow. Isn’t Kathy Chow way too old to pair with either Ron or Sammuel? My fave female lead of the series is Fiona, she is so cute and pretty like a tiny doll. Nevertheless, I’m glad to have Michael Mui back in the series.
November 25th, 2008 at 1:45 am
yeah: It’s not like that. Kathy Chow is pairing with Michael Miu. Elanne Kong will pair with Ron and Kaki Leung will pair with Sammul. Besides this is a male-centered series.
November 25th, 2008 at 3:29 am
-Yeah-
Actually, all the girls whom Ron is paired up with, are all younger than the prequel’s lead: Tavia. So they are not getting older and older. Joey and Elanne are both younger than Tavia. Sonija might be an exception though. As for Kathy, like anon said: she will be paired up with Michael Miu.
November 26th, 2008 at 1:21 am

“.And the one raymond gonna be in?!? It looks crapy for once and what is it even about. I mean what could it possibly be about. You can’t do nothing with one old man, an old lady, and a hot guy!!?! What was tvb thinking. They dont even have a love interest for Ray.”
This series has not been filmed yet. I don’t think they even have a script yet. Just a rough idea. So, don’t make your conclusion so early. I’m sure they will give Ray a love interest if they ever film this series. I hope they do. The sales presentation is cute and the kungfu will be great.
November 27th, 2008 at 12:46 am
The ENI female cast is getting worse and worse, who the heck is Elanne and Kaki?? They should seriously have the original cast back or at least have someone more popular than a bunch of unknown newbies.
November 27th, 2008 at 12:47 am
Btw, I heard TVB is promoting Myolie next year, she has 4 series coming up. But I don’t see her in any of the sales clips? Is she in any of the grand productions?
November 27th, 2008 at 1:03 am
GE: Myolie has 4 series but TVB don’t film sales presentation for her series except Burning Flame 3. No grand production for her.
November 27th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
To KIdd-
Don’t get me wrong, I love ray and his acting, but I despise the way tvb isn’t giving the roles he deserve. The whole kungfu thingy looks soo fake, I mean…Ray should have better roles that fit him more as an actor not a kungfu fighter. I also think that the reason why he’s not receiving major roles becuz he didn’t get the best actor award, and THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION on why he got a crappy year ahead of him. I was expecting maybe a ray&Linda pair up again, but TVB is a big disappointment for me.( NEXT YR)
November 27th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Metal!
November 28th, 2008 at 1:17 am
to tRuC: The reason TVB is giving Raymond crappy roles and not promoting him next year is cuz his contract with TVB is ending next year. There are rumours that Ray will not extend his contract, instead his will return to his family business. So TVB is not going to waste resources promoting someone that will leave, and that’s why Ray didn’t get the best actor award.
November 28th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
I’m happy to see Ada Choi return, with the huge series of Gem of Life and the upcoming Superwoman. I’ve never seen her act comedy, but she’s a good consistent actress and it’ll be nice to see her do something new. The clip looks quite promising.
I’m getting quite tired of series like Palace Schemes. DIE petered out towards the end, so watching DIE II depends all on mood. Grand Entrepreneur I wil probably skip. Such series don’t appeal to me… Iron Horse Seeking Bridge I will skip too. I love Raymond Lam, but the clip is really unappealing, and his role… The series seems like such a joke. Not fun silliness or a lighthearted, but a joke.
That’s my 2c on the clips.
November 29th, 2008 at 12:58 am
Um: I believe the rumours are false. Ray can’t get Best Actor because Ha Yu clearly is the winner. He might get it next year.
Good news is Ray is no longer in the martial arts series. I just read that in May next year Ray and Bobby will be cooperating in a modern series. This sounds great
November 30th, 2008 at 10:42 pm
I don’t think Raymond will go back to his family business since that was rumored for years but he did clear it up that it was when he was younger and it was in case he didn’t really make it. Obviously, he is very popular now so he will be sticking to showbusiness. The reason he is not filming as much is because he wanted to promote his album more and work on the singing. He will not be in the martial art series but the 2 older cast members are still going to be in it. I also doubt that he will discontinue with tvb since his acting and singing is both linked to their management and his popularity is due to their efforts. The reason he didn’t get the award is because the audience overwhelmingly wanted Ha Yu to win, and after many years of what I believe to be tvb rigging awards, they finally played fair this year. I have no doubt that Raymond will win the best actor award either next year or the year after.
Acting wise, it seems like tvb will promote myolie, ron (who also has 4 series), bosco, moses… For me, I don’t mind if the actors are in grand productions or not as long as the final product is a good series.
December 2nd, 2008 at 5:51 pm
TO GE:
Elanne is really famous (or you could say infamous) in Hong Kong. She is a singer who has countless rumors about her. During the summer, she was probably in the tabloids every single day, since it was rumored that she was having an affair with a married man. Of course, this could affect ratings since she really doesn’t have much reputation left, but I personally like her.
…and, of course you don’t know Kaki, she’s a newcomer. The only role people probably know her for is Forensic Heroes II, where she was killed off like, one minute after she appeared. Basically, I’m trying to say that the female cast really isn’t that bad; I like it quite a bit. I still prefer Tavia and Fiona over everyone of them though (including Joey and Sonija).
December 14th, 2008 at 11:27 am
Overall: TVB series look promising this year!
Superwoman- I like Ada. She’s a very good actress and I’m looking toward her comedy role in this series. Also, Moses intrigues me with his old wig…lol
E.N.I.- This is basically a male-centered role as this relates to a police theme. As for the female roles, I agree that they could be a little better. I’ve never even seen Kaki or Elanne. But I’ll probably stick around for the first 5 episodes to see how the story line goes.
Iron Horse Seeking Bridge- I haven’t seen Yuen Wah act in a while, so I’ll probably watch this series too. I like his comedy roles(if he’s going to act a comedy role for this series). As for Raymond, I think his role is okay-ish for this series.
D.I.E. II- I love the original version of this series! I’m looking forward to the sequel because of Roger. I really couldn’t care less about who the producer is, as long as the original cast acts well.
Rouge Merchant- Wayne and Sheren intrest me in this series. Although I dislike the time era that this series is in, Sheren and Wayne’s strong acting will pull me through.
Grand Entrepreneur- I like the Monopoly theme set for this series. The strong cast intrigues me, espeically Kenix, Nancy, Jamie, and Ray. Definitely looking towards this series.
Palace Scheme- I think this series may be a little too serious, like War and Beauty. Never the less, I’ll stay for Tavia and how she acts her evil role.
General Chai and Lady Balsam- I loathe the time era set for this series. This is the only series I’m not looking forward to (other than Burning Flames III), so I’ll probably skip this series and reserve it for my grandma because she looves Kathy’s acting…lol
Burning Flames III- I’m not looking towards this series because I dislike the firefighter theme. I loathe the Kevin and Myolie pairing, and I really think that Kevin would’ve matched up with someone better. Myolie doesn’t intrest me as much either, so I’d rather skip this series.
Heaven and Earth- I’m looking towards this series because of the intresting theme (wow…cannibalism?) and it’s moral. I love Nick and I’m looking towards his acting.

Haha..this is pretty much separate from this blog..but I’ve been watching The Gem of Life over my Christmas break..and it doesn’t disappoint – it really is a Gem! It deserves way more “points” than it’s getting right now. It makes you think, and in my opinion, it doesn’t drag..even though it’s a long series. I hope it gets more credit for what it’s worth later on

Looking forward to Iron Horse, GE, and Palace Scheme.
Casting of Iron Horse changed. GE sounds really interesting with many talented actors/actresses coming back. Palace Scheme sounds a little boring with same cast again, but major fan of Tavia, and wonder how she’ll play an evil role.

Superwoman – Ada choi’s make up is too overdone here. Interesting but i’m thinking it’ll be reallyreally cheesy especially with her flying all over the place. I say NO to too much computer effects!
E.U. – Mhm, hard to say. Never watched the previous series but seems interesting and worth a try.
Iron Horse Seeking Bridge – ARGH too mach computer effects too. I didn’t like Legend of the Demigods so i don’t think i’ll like this. Too fake for me. But i might give it a shot since Raymond Lam seems to be a pretty good actor.
D.I.E. Again – This show’s kinda weird. I watched the first series and it seemed kind of iffy. Why did they have to drag this show on?
Rosy Business – HUGE Sheren fan here. Wayne is a pretty good actor too. I’ve watched this series and i think kudos. Sheren and wayne are too underrated. They deserve more recognisation than they have. This has a strong cast and good plot. Worth the watch. Might be a little biased hahas but really, it’s super awesome.
Beyond the Realm of Conscience – Charmaine sheh is definitely not my fave tvb actress. It’s like the producers keep giving her all the good shows and awards even when alot of other actors and actresses are better. I admit she’s not bad but sheren tang’s still better, if not the best. I’ll probably watch this because of tavia. Although same kind of treatment by the producers, i think she has potential and the plot seems interesting.
In The Chamber of Bliss – Not much comments, no idea about the cast so i don’t think i’ll support them much.
Burning Flame III – Might watch for kelvin and bosco. They are pretty good and i interested in their characters. Myolie might put me off though, her acting’s something exaggerated.
Heaven and Earth – Surprisesurprise! Sheren tang’s here. I’ll definitely want to watch. Mainly because of well, sheren and also Moses chan. Good strong cast but charmaine’s here too. I’ll watch if sheren appears enough. (:
Can’t wait!
