Blurb …

Officially launched on August 4, 2008, Ever Star is a simple personal and entertainment blog for me (Annisa) to share my thoughts on recent Asian news and entertainment. It is a small place for anyone of similar interests to stop by and exchange ideas. Much of the focus here is any filming, airing, and/or released drama series produced by TVB. There are also other topics and special features I wish to incorporate along the way, but those will show up when inspiration comes. I believe in enjoying myself when it comes to blogging and I basically write just for fun. Hence, I do not have a set schedule and will generally update whenever I have some free time and motivation. Nevertheless, I do think about the shows on or off my playlist every day and always have tons of thoughts running through my head. The thing is I’m often simply too lazy to put them into coherent words, but I hope that whatever I can manage will ultimately be a fun read for you!

As for the blog’s title, Ever Star comes from the abridged meaning of my given name. It is also a derivative of the blog’s motto, "Drafting the delights and despairs in everlasting fandom." I’m sure none of my compositions are perfect and I’ll occasionally say something idiotic and make no sense or spazz too much or overanalyze the object of discussion, but everything I say is definitely a part of my opinion—my delights and despairs about the fandom(s) in which I reside. Although the future is unpredictable, I hope and foresee that my love of following and watching Asian dramas, not only TVB, will continue for a long time. Do join me on this ride and express your thoughts too!

Although I’m the mastermind of this blog, I get help from several friends I would like to express my thanks here. The first is Jayee who helps me with locating TVB costume fitting images and magazine scans. She doesn’t own a blog nor like to write much but I’m very grateful to her for the help. I have also formed a subtitling group/duo with Rachel, one of my readers, called ART. We primarily work on English subtitles for TVB trailers and promotional clips of selected series. There are times when we fall behind but I love Rachel for doing a fantastic job at translating the dialogues because I suck at it.

Hyn5 and wargods also deserve a warm hug from everyone because they provide a lot of TVB information and updates. Both are fast and passionate when it comes to TVB. Then, there are dreamer and TngChatterBox who offer wonderful help in the forum.

Last but not least is my awesome "brother" and host, MetalAZNWarrior of TVB Musings. Without him, Ever Star would not be what it is now nor exist at all! Arigatou gozaimasu onii-sama!
