Living in Happiness (身在福中)
Living in Happiness (身在福中) is a lovely song voiced by none other than our sweet and endearing Niki Chow. It will be the theme song for her upcoming TVB travel show Sakura Memories, which was filmed in beautiful Japan.
Other than Better Let You Go (還是讓你走) which I still listen to almost everyday, I think Living in Happiness is now my other top favorite Niki song. I like it even more than Trust (信) or Heaven’s Ladder (天梯). The melody is very soothing and warm, yet also colorful. I absolutely love the theme of "happiness", which is especially evident in the song’s chorus.
Happiness is something we all want to achieve but when we have it, do we even realize it’s there? Taking a step back from the problems, responsibilities, and stress in everyday life and simply looking at the nature that is present around us, I think will surely open our hearts and allow us to see the things we would’ve usually missed. Indeed, everyone has a different "happiness" because everyone has a different "need". Nevertheless, from what I understand from the context of the song, it is best to "travel" by letting go of your "baggage" and just take life as it comes. The less you carry, the more space you have in your heart for the joys along the way.
Instead of "happiness" though, the feeling I get from this song is peace … and perhaps a light inspirational push to keep pursuing my dream.
