If only TVB series were actually as attention-grabbing and world-shattering as their promotional videos, seriously, I would be more of an enthusiastic blogger. (I’m in no way using this as an excuse for my lack of intelligent compositions. It’s the truth.)

That said, I found this teaser last night and boy, did it get me jumping up and down for TVB releases later this year! The dramas included are chronologically, Growing Through Life (Damian Lau, Raymond Lam, Bosco Wong), Heaven and Earth (Bowie Lam, Kenny Wong, Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh), tentatively Women Hurt the Most (Maggie Cheung, Joe Ma), Gun Metal Gray (Michael Miu, Felix Wong, Jessica Hsuan), Can’t Buy Me Love (Charmaine Sheh, Moses Chan), and last but definitely not least the semi-sequel to Rosy Business (Sheren Tang, Wayne Lai). Will 2010 mark a new era for TVB?

My Better Half: Marriage Quotes 5

Similar to what made Just Love II enjoyable enough (for me), My Better Half also incorporated ingenious quotes at the beginning of its episodes with narrations of ranging tones–from matter-of-fact Michael Miu and Maggie Cheung to playful and sarcastic Michael Tse and Teresa Lee. Nevertheless, Half isn’t trying to differentiate or make fun of the male and female psychologies, it is poking at the "before and after" realities of marriage. Although these quotes do not describe everyone’s relationships, I’m positive they describe the majority. A lot of couples do experience dryness after a few years of marriage and it’s interesting why this is so when it’s not as if these couples have stopped loving one another.

Anyway, I’m still in the midst of watching Half, but there have been a few requests for these quotes so I thought I would be kind and post them. Have fun laughing!

Michael Miu is a molester, shocking even Maggie Cheung!!

No, not really. (LOL.) I think it’s obvious the hand we’re watching is indeed that of our leading actor, but the front and rear he’s touching are not really of Joey Mak, who is in reality rather small and flat-chested. In both cases, I’m guessing the victim is a man. It would be extremely awkward if that was truly a woman, horrendously awkward. One could argue that it is Joey and she agreed to perform the scene herself, sacrificing her body for art and being professional. But I doubt her co-stars and the crew would allow such a thing, evident in the last segment where Michael only hovered his hand an inch from her chest. Whichever, this NG clip is hilarious and I definitely look forward to seeing the completed scene.

Capturing attention immediately with fast-paced, gory vengeful action and ending with a bang, the possibility of TVB actually living up to its “Good Show” motto is high in 2010. The overall feeling of the sales presentation is grand. Other than a miss here or there, many shows appear promising. I am excited!
